TRANSFER POLICIES

                        Articulation Agreement by Major                         
              Effective during the 01-02 And 02-03 Academic Years               
                Based on the 01-02 UC Transfer Course Agreement                 
     
                          ====BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES====                           
Preference will be given to junior-level applicants with the highest grades     
overall and who have satisfactorily completed: one year of general chemistry                                                                                    
(with laboratory).                                                      06/20/02
The School of Biological Sciences requires all majors to complete Humanities    
1A-B-C or an approved alternative. Transfer students may fulfill the                                                                                            
requirement by completing:                                                                                                                                      
                                                                                                                                                                
     1) one year of English composition, and                                                                                                                    
     2) two transferable three-unit semester courses (or three four-unit                                                                                        
        quarter unit courses) chosen from English literature, history,                                                                                          
        humanities, or philosophy (excluding logic).                                                                                                            
                                                                                                                                                                
Note: Once enrolled at UCI, School of Biological Sciences majors may take                                                                                       
only UCI courses to satisfy major requirements, including the Humanities
